Pride of Place
Pride of Place is a photographic project by Phil Moody.
Willing volunteers from across West Leeds have invited Phil into their homes to share the secret of what takes pride of place on their mantlepiece. For some it may be a treasured photo or object, for others the mantlepiece may just be a repository for the daily contents of their jacket pocket. The photographs from this project form an unusual portrait of the West Leeds community.
In keeping with the festival aim of putting great art projects in the heart of the community we have teamed up with Morrisons in Swinnow to put these large scale prints behind the cash tills in store - so you can see Phil's fantastic photographs and do your weekly shop at the same time!
