The search for the ultimate underpant is on!
2500 pairs of plain white Y Fronts (size medium) have been distributed far and wide across west Leeds to the young and old. Hundreds and hundreds are on their way back in decorated with paint, markers, feathers, photographs, tinsel and tractors.

We are currently turning them all into bunting with the help of some sewing machines kindly lent by Bramley Fairfield Community Centre & Bramley Surestart and a small team of willing volunteers. It should take several months, but with the aid of a time machine, some tea and cake and a large stick we aim to have them done in time for Festival Day on Sunday 6 July at Armley Mills.

There will be such a magnificent display of pants and in such quantity it may be difficult to see the mill building itself underneath!
If you haven't had chance to take part don't worry you can decorate a pair on the day...
